Manteca City Councilman In Jail On Bribe Charges

San Joaquin County district attorney investigators have arrested Manteca city councilman Dave Macedo on a felony charge of soliciting a bribe. They believe he solicited a bribe from the city attorney, allegedly in exchange for approving a pay increase for the attorney. Macedo´s lawyer says Macedo accepted a $7,500 check from the attorney to settle an old debt.
