A winter storm is heading into Northern California — just in time for Christmas.
The National Weather Service is forecasting heavy rains for the rest of the week, with most of it falling today and tomorrow.
And in the mountains for the holidays, you´ll have plenty of snow to play in. The National Weather Service predicts as much as 18 inches of snow could fall above the 7,000 foot level. Forecasters say snow level in the Mother Lode could drop to 2,000 feet Christmas day, as another storm pushes through the area.
