Federal money coming in to the Mother Lode from FEMA
Congressman George Radanovich says about $27,000 — from nearly $1.75-million in a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management agency grant — will be coming to Tuolumne County.
The grants are part of FEMA´s emergency food and Shelter program. Funds are to be used to supply food, shelter, rent, mortgage and utility assistance programs for people with non-disaster-related emergencies. Stanislaus County will receive $471,000.
