Parade Time In Mother Lode

Sponsored by:

It was Christmas time in Twain Harte last night.

Hundreds of people and children lined the downtown streets to watch a short but sweet holiday parade of local groups and organizations, dogs, a llama, fire trucks , the famous Twain Harte marching kazoo band and snow shovel drill team and of course, Santa Claus. The weather, once again, cooperated with parade organizers, with no rain or snow.

Another parade is scheduled for this afternoon, this time in Angels Camp. It´s the 13th annual Angels Camp Business Association´s Christmas Parade. It rolls along Highway 49 in the historic downtown business section. Afterwards, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Calaveras County Visitors Center for pictures with the kids.
