Clouds from this approaching storm front and the rising sun put on a glorious show Thursday morning above Sonora. Other areas of the foothills weren´t so lucky, with fog and clouds getting in the way. Rain is expected with this storm and snow in the upper elevations by Friday night. The National Weather Service says snow fall amounts will be initially light due to the warmer air at the start of the storm cycle, but significant accumulations are possible later this weekend as snow levels lower to below 6,000 feet by Saturday. Expect it to be breezy as well.
