College Will Jazz-Up Holidays

Swing into the Christmas season with the sweet sounds of jazz when the Columbia College Jazz Series presents “It´s a Big Band Christmas” on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. in the college´s Dogwood Forum.
The concert will feature jazzed up versions of all your holiday favorites, performed by the college´s big band and highlighted by a special guest appearance of Mel Martin on sax.
Tickets are $10 for reserved seating and are available at the Manzanita Bookstore (588-5126), and at the Mountain Bookshop (532-6117) in the Junction Shopping Center. Tickets will also be available at the door and the box office will be opened 30 minutes before the performance. For more information, call 588-5211.
