Man’s Body Found In Burning Car

A man´s body was found in the back seat of a burning car in Valley Springs yesterday morning, but authorities say it appears no foul play was involved.
Calaveras County Firefighters and Sheriffs deputies responded to the 700 block of Paloma Road around 6:45 yesterday morning and found 29-year-old Valley Springs man Richard Vanwinkle dead in the back seat of the burning car.
Investigators say it appears Vanwinkle either fell asleep or passed out in the back seat with the car running .The fire started in the engine compartment and quickly spread to the vehicle´s interior. He was killed from smoke and heat from the fire.
The death is still being investigated.
