Forest Public Hearings Tonight, Thursday
The first of two public hearing tonight by the Forest Service to gather comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Larson Reforestation and Fuels Reduction project:
The first session tonight at the Groveland Ranger District Office, on Highway 120 in Groveland. This public hearing gets underway at 7 p.m.
The second session will be held tomorrow night at the Stanislaus National Forest Supervisors Sonora Office, on Greenley Road at 7 p.m.
A Forest Service spokesman says the meetings are intended to provide information, assist members of the public and local communities in understanding what actions are being proposed, how to navigate through the DEIS document, and how to participate in a meaningful way in the planning effort during the comment period.
