Area Congressman George Radanovich says his Yosemite Park bill, HR 2715, has passed another hurdle in committee.
The bill by the Mariposa republican seeks to improve and restore facilities at Yosemite National Park –such as completing restoration work on areas hit hard by the 1997 floods and providing housing and transportation for park employees.
“This bill makes sensible changes to the Yosemite Valley Plan to ensure the public´s access to the park,” Radanovich said in a written statement.
The bill now goes to the House floor for full consideration then on to the Senate for similar passage. After that, President Bush must sign the bill.
