Labor Day weekend turned out to be a fruitful one for a California couple.
The couple came to Reno to meet some friends and went home $3.5 million richer after hitting a jackpot on a Wheel of Fortune machine at the Reno Hilton.
According to slot machine maker International Game Technology, the couple did not want to be identified but said they hit the jackpot early Sunday after playing just $3.
They plan to pay off their home and invest the rest. The jackpot will be paid in annual installments.
