Holiday Traffic Deaths Add Up, Already

California traffic accidents claimed six lives during the first 12 hours of the Labor Day holiday weekend.
The California Highway Patrol says the toll from 6 p.m. last night to 6 a.m. today was below the eight deaths during the same holiday period a year ago.
