California gubernatorial candidate Arianna Huffington says sheÂ´s planning to stay in the race for governor no matter what the polls say.
Huffington spoke to the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco Wednesday night.
She says sheÂ´s a social moderate who hopes to stabilize the budget and institute universal health care. Huffington told the crowd the Greeks gave democracy to the world and “youÂ´ve screwed it up.”
She says sheÂ´s running to help fix the “broken political system.”
Huffington immigrated to the U.S. from Greece in 1980.
She says she can get her message to the public through speeches, books and columns.
