Huge Pot Bust in the Stanislaus

Sponsored by:

A huge marijuana plantation was seized by authorities in the Stanislaus National forest this week about five miles east of Tuolumne.

Authorities say at least 8,000 thousand plants have been uprooted so far, with another 12,000 to come out of the ground. No arrests have been made yet.

Authorities say the plants have a street value of about $40 million.

Tuolumne County recently ranked 4th on State Attorney General Bill Lockyer´s list of counties where marijuana is grown in California.
