A Car Quest delivery driver escaped injury Tuesday morning after his truck crashed into two parked cars and a building on Highway 49 in San Andreas.
The highway patrol says 60-year-old Don Agular of West Sacramento took his attention off the road and let his 2000 Mitsubishi box van veer off Highway 49 near Church Street.
Officers say the truck, traveling at about 40 mph, hit a parked Volkswagen and pushed it 20 feet, then hit a Ford Escort station wagon, hooking and dragging it across a parking lot. The truck slammed through a railing, overturned and eventually came to rest against the side of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post building.
Agular was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt in the mishap. CHP says it took more than two hours to clean up the area from the crash.
