Powerline Sparks Sonora Fire

Sonora City fire crews quickly knocked down a small grass fire at the base of a power pole in downtown Sonora this afternoon.
Emily Barnett with PG&E says a power line connector on North Green Street at Snell Street failed and dropped to the ground, sparking the fire. Power was out to one home for about an hour while PG&E crews fixed the problem.
