Rain, Slick Roads, Accidents
Rain and too much speed could be to blame for a number of accidents in the Mother Lode Thursday afternoon.
Among the crashes:
A rollover pick-up truck accident had traffic tied up on eastbound Highway 108 at the Stockton Road business loop off ramp just before 5 p.m.
Emergency units responded to another roll-over crash this time on O´byrnes Ferry Road at the bridge near Lake Tulloch. Roadway was blocked there..
A bob-tail big rig broke an axle at the hair-pin turns and crashed into the guardrail on Rawhide Road at Peppermint Creek Road near Jamestown. The roadway was closed for time while crews worked to remove the truck.
