Merced Fire Fully Contained

The U.S. Forest Service says the Merced fire has now been fully contained. The blaze burned about 30 acres south of Groveland.
Firefighters will remain on the scene for a few days mopping up the blaze five miles east of Greeley Hill.
No homes were threatened. It was burning near a heavily-used campsite.
