Two Small Fires Contained Quickly

There were a couple of small fires in our area over the past 24 hours.
About a quarter-acre of grass burned yesterday near the Jack in the Box in East Sonora. CDF officials say the cause of that blaze, near the Junction Shopping Center, was a careless smoker.
Also, about a half-acre of grass burned at the old golf course in Twain Harte overnight. Both fires were contained quickly. The cause of the fire at the golf course is under investigation. No damage to any structures has been reported.
