Mother Lode Fair Starts Today

The 2003 Mother Lode Fair gets started in Sonora on Thursday.
Fair Board President Stacy Martin says the fair is a great opportunity to showcase the county´s agricultural industry. “This year´s theme is ´Made in the Shade, Celebrating the Timber Industry´,” Martin said.
This year´s fair features music artists Tim Rushlow, Starship, and Double Funk Crunch, plus Big Air Extreme motocross, 4×4 truck pulls, the destruction derby, and the famous Budweiser Clydesdales and new carnival rides.
