Injured Dirt Biker Hard To Reach

An injured motorcyclist had to be carried out from a remote area of Calaveras County by firefighters yesterday afternoon.
The highway patrol says 27-year-old Manteca resident Garth Moore lost control of his dirt bike on a muddy section of trail near Blue Creek and Shaad´s Resort. The bike went over and Moore suffered a broken leg.
Emergency personnel used four-wheel drive and foot-power to reach the injured man around 1 o´clock Tuesday. He was taken to Sutter Amador Hospital for treatment.
