Tuolumne County Supervisors could approve new rules tomorrow for telecommunications towers in the county. If approved, the new rules would do several things, including restricting where the towers can be placed. Many residents have said they don´t want the towers near their homes. Supervisors could decide to limit the towers to 1000 feet from residential areas. The rules may also require that the structures blend in with natural surroundings.
The proposed rules have been put on hold several times, including last week when supervisors debated whether the regulations were even necessary at this time.
The public will be allowed to comment on the proposal tomorrow morning at the Supervisors meeting at the County Government Building at ten o´clock.
