Anti War March Coming To Sonora
Demonstrators in Sonora plan to join thousands of others around the world on Saturday, to protest the possible War with Iraq. The protesters feel the Bush Administration policy on Iraq is “immoral and ill-advised.”
Local organizer Jim Toner says he expects about 350 people to march from Woods Creek Rotary Park across from the fairgrounds to the Courthouse Square. He also expects some people to show up who don´t agree with the demonstration. Toner says that no matter who shows up, organizers want the demonstration to remain peaceful.
Similar marches are planned for hundreds of cities around the world on Saturday, including Sacramento and San Francisco.
