Forest Service Wants Your Thoughts on Trails

Stanislaus National Forest Officials are asking for public comments on several proposals to manage trails in an area near Arnold. Calaveras District Ranger Rob Griffith says officials are in the planning process for the 8,700 acre “Interface” area just off Highway four. He adds that the opportunities in that area include hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and offroad vehicle use.

He says officials want to know what kind of trails the public wants to see in that area. The Forest Service has six different proposals. To see the proposals, click here:
