Two Men Jump To Safety In Sonora Fire

Sponsored by:

Firefighters now have a blaze in a downtown Sonora apartment building under control. The fire at 582 South Barretta Street, was first reported about 7:10 a.m. this morning. Firefighters had been inside the burning structure trying to knock down the flames and look for any occupants of that apartment.

Five people were inside the apartment when it caught fire. Two of the men had to jump to safety from a second story back window into the arms of Sonora Police officers.

Luckily only minor injuries.

Try to avoid that area if possible.
