There is another confirmed death among the Marines from Camp Pendleton.
The family of Major Kevin Nave says they€™ve been told that the 36-year-old Michigan man died in combat. Officials have not released details about his death. Authorities told Nave€™s family about his death yesterday, which happened to be the 5th birthday of his daughter.
Nave lived in Oceanside with his wife, daughter and a 6-year-old son. He was a veteran of the 1991 Persian Gulf War. Nave was deployed with the 1st Marine Division in Iraq, and was part of the 5th Marines, 3rd Battalion.
Nave was originally from White Lake Township, Michigan. He is the first Michigan native reported killed in the war with Iraq.
