Valley Springs Man Charged With Assault

A Valley Springs man is behind bars after police say he assaulted a woman, she fled, and he chased her down and assaulted her again.
18-year-old Donald Pinon was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail on $200,000 bail. Witnesses reported seeing Pinon and a female, who€™s name was not released, having a physical fight in a moving vehicle in downtown Valley Springs yesterday. Officers responded and their investigation showed that Pinon had assaulted the woman previously. Authorities say that after the woman tried to get away, Pinon chased her and dragged her back to the vehicle where he assaulted her again.
