Local environmental activist John Buckley says all the talk of forced busing in the Yosemite Valley Plan is a myth. He says it´s “extremely unfortunate that so many people are misinformed and are spreading wild rhetoric and exaggerated claims” about the Yosemite Valley Plan.
Buckley heads up the Central Sierra Environmental Resource Center in Twain Harte. He says the idea that the Yosemite Valley Plan will lock people out of the park is totally untrue. Buckley adds that the plan only calls for having the option of using buses when the park becomes congested with visitors.
The U.S. Congress is considering the plan right now, and a committee will hold a hearing on the issue in the park on Tuesday.
