Sonora Union High School officials say a custodian was stabbed with a hypodermic needle during a battle with a convicted felon who was walking on the school grounds. The custodian is said to be doing ok.

Sonora Police say 32 year old Darrell Hamilton was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail after the fight on Monday. Police say he also had a knife.

Hamilton has served a three year term in prison on drug charges. He now faces charges that include being a felon with a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and battery of a peace office.
