Round-Up Rodeo Continues Sunday

Sponsored by:

The 47th Annual Mother Lode Round-Up most exciting attraction is the two days of professional rodeo at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora.

All the best riders, ropers and wrestlers come to town for the weekend of All-American action. This is when the Round-Up gets back to its true roots. It all started back in the early 1900s as a Wild West Show at the old Sonora High baseball fields.

Saturday a record-breaking crowd filled the arena to watch bronc riding, bull riding, roping and the calf scramble.

The action doesn´t stop. Sunday another full slate of Round-Up activities get underway with the Mother´s Day Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the fairgrounds, then it´s more rodeo action with the Kiddie Rodeo at 12:30 p.m., followed by day two of professional cowboys and cowgirls doing their thing. The Sunday rodeo gets underway at 2 p.m. at the fairgrounds in Sonora.
