Prison Inmates Confined To 24 Hour Cell Time

Authorities say California State prison inmates are being kept in their cells 24 hours a day in an effort to reduce overtime pay to guards during the California budget crisis.

The Corrections Department says nearly all of the 4,000 inmates at the Lancaster maximum security prison have been denied access to exercise yards and are eating all meals in their cells.
