Modesto Police Investigate Assaults

Modesto police are investigating a series of recent assaults near Memorial Hospital on Coffee Road.
Just before 5 p.m. Friday evening, a woman sitting in her van in a lot across from the hospital was approached by a hispanic man in his 20´s who forced his way into the woman vehicle. She kicked the suspect in the chest. The man ran off. She was not hurt.
Police are investigating a rape case from the same general area that occurred June 10th.
Police don´t believe the two incidents are related.
