The city opens the Sonora Opera Hall this evening so the public has a chance to see the recent addition and remodel of the building on South Washington Street.
Sonora Special Programs Coordinator Sheala Wilkinson says the remodel began in January and is just about finished. The public will be able to see the newly added caterer´s prep kitchen and equipment, as well as bigger restrooms and additional storage.
Wilkinson says the last remaining commemorative bricks will be sold tonight as well. Money raised from the sale is used to maintain the historic facility.
The open house is from 4 p.m. – to- 6 p.m. this evening and is open to the public.
