Another Delay For Bypass

Another delay for the East Sonora Bypass? Looks like it. Planned to open at 6 a.m. this morning, but as of minutes ago barricades were still up across the roadway entrances.
Construction crews at the by-pass said they were told last night it´s not ready for traffic yet. A Caltrans spokesperson was not available for comment this morning.
When the expressway does open to traffic the advice from law enforcement officials is simple: go slow, and stay alert. CHP Officer Tom Wills says they´ll have patrol cars on the new bypass, as well as along the old highway.
Again, the 3-mile, $70 million East Sonora Expressway project not open as planned.
