Downum Returns To California

Calaveras County Sheriff Dennis Downum returned today from Iraq.
He arrived at Sacramento International Airport after 7 months assisting and training new Iraqi police officers.
Downum told reporters today that while things had gotten more violent recently in the Middle East, it appeared to him that things were turning back around lately.
He´s been the Calaveras County sheriff since 1994, and returns to his post next month.
