CalTrans is holding an information meeting this evening for folks who use Highway 26 going to and from Stockton.
It´s called the Silver Rapids Curve Correction Project.
The plan is to widen and realign a 1.2 mile stretch of Highway 26 from Vista Del Lago to Heinemann.
The highway will be closed for three months while crews complete the two million dollar project.
CalTrans says State Route 26 will be closed to all, except residents, starting in late July. The roadway is slated to be reopened in November.
Tonight´s public meeting is at 6pm at the Jenny Lind Fire Station in Valley Springs.
Representatives from CalTrans, the County Public Works department, and the California Highway Patrol will all be there to answer questions.
