Sonora Police Say Click It Or Ticket

Sponsored by:

City of Sonora Police officers are on the lookout for drivers and passengers not wearing seat belts.

Sonora Police Chief Mace McIntosh says this increased enforcement is being paid through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.

McIntosh adds the California courts are very serious about drivers buckling up, but even more so when children under the age of 16 are not properly secured in a vehicle. He says the maximum fine for a first offense is $371 and it more than doubles for the second offence.
