Fire Near Tuolumne Rancheria Contained

Firefighters are responding to the report of a vegetation fire in the Tuolumne area.
The fire is reported off Buchanan Road and Mira Monte Road, just northeast of the town of Tuolumne. Smoke from this fire was spotted from an area lookout tower. The fire is said to be less than an 1/2 acre burning in grass and scattered oaks. Firefighters say they are having to hike into the fire.
A CDF helicopter is enroute to help in the effort.
