Two politicians that University of California administrators credit with making the U.C. Merced campus a reality visited the school grounds.
Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante visited the U.C. Merced campus on yesterday for the first time, accompanied by Congressman Dennis Cardoza.
Chancellor Carol Tomlinson-Keasey said Bustamante and Cardoza helped lead what was an uphill battle. U.C. Merced is expected to open with one thousand students next year.
