Tuolumne County´s Bush/Cheney Committee held a party last night at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.
The purpose, according to the Committee´s Mike Albrecht, was to watch the president´s nomination speech on TV.
“We´re just absolutely excited about getting George Bush reelected, and excited to see his speech, and looking forward to his positive vision for our future,” Albrecht said.
This November, some voters in Tuolumne County will also be deciding a runoff election. District 1 Incumbent Larry Rotelli was at last night´s party.
“We´ll be starting the campaign up, here, in the next few weeks. We´ll do the usual things, knock on doors and talk to people,” Rotelli said.
City Councilwoman Liz Bass is competing against Rotelli for the seat on the County Board of Supervisors.
