A lost hiker survived snow and bitter cold conditions Sunday night in the Yosemite National Park wilderness near Half Dome before being rescued by park rangers Monday morning.
Judy Brower of Aptos, was on a day hike Sunday of Half Dome. Yosemite Park officials say the woman was not equipped to spend the night in the wilderness. Yosemite experienced unseasonably cold weather Sunday night which included snow at approximately 6,000 feet.
Rescuers located Brower in the Lost Lake Basin . She was transported to Yosemite Valley by helicopter for medical treatment of hypothermia.
