The 30-thousand acre blaze up north is not the only fire that is keeping firecrews busy this late in the fire season.

The Power Fire in the El Dorado National Forest grew overnight to 3000 acres.

It´s located 17 miles east of the town of Pioneer, California on the north side of the Salt Springs Reservoir.

Summer homes and a boy scout camp have been evacuated, along with public campgrounds in the area.

Bear River Reservoir area has also been evacuated.

Crews, engines and a bulldozer from the Mother Lode have even been sent to help fight the blaze.

Highway 88 has been closed from Omo Ranch Road to Iron Mountain, and also at the Mormon Emigrant Trail.

The CDF says the fire is 10 percent contained with full containment not expected until a week from this Saturday.

Four injuries have been reported.

Officials say the cause is under investigation.
