A hit and run accident Sunday morning left damage but no injuries.
18-year-old Jakob M. Coggin of Mokelumne Hill was driving his 78 Ford pickup, westbound on Highway 26, when an unknown driver in a bright red big rig tractor, crossed over the double yellow lines and into the oncoming lane of traffic.
Coggin was forced to swerve and he ran off the road, hit a power pole, spun across the roadway and hit the dirt embankment.
The truck came to rest in the westbound lane and the big rig left the scene of the accident.
Coggin and his two teenage passengers were uninjured.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the CHP.
