Ordway Faces Murder Trial in Shires Death
The former housekeeper of an Arnold man will face trial on a murder charge for killing him.
A judge in Calaveras County Superior Court decided this week that there was probable cause that Patricia Ordway murdered 77-year-old Ray Shires.
Ordway is also accused of forging one of Shires´s checks.
Witnesses this week pointed to the injuries Shires had suffered, and evidence including Shires´s checkbook, wallet and a possibly bloody hammer, were found near Rolleri Bypass Road outside of Angels in September.
Ordway´s now being held on 500-thousand dollars bail. She´s in the Calaveras County Jail, to be arraigned December 7th on the murder charge in Calaveras County Superior Court.
