Minor Injuries After Separate CalCo Accidents
Two accidents in Calaveras County over the weekend yielded some minor injuries, but nothing else.
24-year-old Cha Yang of Modesto was injured Saturday afternoon when she was westbound on Highway 4, west of Pool Station Road.
Her Jetta spun out and came to rest blocking both lanes of Highway 4.
She was taken to Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital for her minor injuries.
And Sunday, 25-year-old Charles Deanda of Sheep Ranch was slightly injured, on Fricot City Road east of Star Canyon Trail, after a bear ran out into the road in front of his 96 Jeep.
He swerved to avoid the bear, and ended up going off the roadway, rolling down the canyon nearly 1000 feet, coming to rest on its wheels.
Deanda and his 2-year-old son remained in the vehicle until employees of Star Canyon Ranch assisted them out of the vehicle and back to the roadway.
Deanda was wearing his seat belt, and his son was in a child seat.
Deanda went to Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital as well for his very minor injuries.
