A 24-year old Sonora man was arrested Friday on charges of being a felon possessing a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public, possessing a controlled substance while armed, and bringing drugs into the jail.

It happened after a traffic stop early Friday morning.

24-year-old Gregory Trejo Saucedo was reportedly a passenger in a car that was stopped and searched, with permission, by a Sonora police officer.

According to a report, the officer found a loaded semi-automatic handgun and two glass smoking pipes.

Saucedo was booked, but while in jail, he complained that he was ill and admitted to deputies that he´d swallowed eight to ten grams of methamphetamine.

He was treated at Tuolumne General Hospital and then taken back to the jail.

He was being held on 15-thousand dollars bail.
