Multiple Vehicle Wreck Near Cold Springs; Three Fatalities

A multi-vehicle accident resulted in fatalities this afternoon. Three cars were involved in the wreck. Two vehicles had overturned, about a mile from Little Sweden.
Three fatalities have been confirmed.
The highway is completely blocked according to the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s department. CHP and Cal Trans are using a Pilot Car to guide vehicles through the westbound lanes one direction at a time, as the wreck occurred in the eastbound lanes. Little other information is available on traffic restrictions, but in the case of an accident such as this, extreme caution is advised while driving in the area.
