William Dickerson — a Marin County psychiatrist and Saint Helena grape grower — has died in Thailand. He was 76.
Dickerson´s family was notified Monday he was killed at a resort north of Phuket when a wall of water 30 feet high hit the beach at 100 miles per hour. Dickerson´s body was identified by a passport photo. His wife, Jane, remains missing. That´s according to Dickerson´s daughter, Julie Dickerson, who talked to the San Francisco Chronicle.
The couple left December 17th for three weeks in Asia. Dickerson is survived by two daughters, two stepsons, a brother and four grandchildren. That brings to five the number of Californians killed in the tsunami.
