Tourism Classes Offered At Columbia College

Sponsored by:

The historical Mother Lode, combined with the region´s natural beauty and recreational opportunities, have made the foothills a key tourist destination. As such, tourism has grown as an industry, attracting thousands of visitors every year to the area.

To assist in promoting tourism here, Columbia College is offering several hospitality/tourism/recreation classes this spring for novices and veterans alike. The classes provide opportunities to reflect on new market trends, understand customer motivations better, and expand on future career paths in this “mega-profession.”

Although Columbia College´s spring semester starts on Monday, Jan. 12, students can still register for these on-campus classes during the first week of school if seats are available.

To enroll late in these classes, students need to register in person with a photo identification at the college´s Admissions & Records Office in the Manzanita Building at 11600 Columbia College Drive in Sonora.
