Sonora Man Injured, Arrested After Possible Drunk Driving Wreck
A Sonora man injured in a Calaveras County traffic accident was also arrested by California Highway Patrol officers for suspicion of drunk driving.
The CHP says 69-year-old David Fraser was driving Monday afternoon, on Falcon Mine Road in the Murphy´s Pines area, on private property.
Officers say due to his intoxication, Fraser turned his Ford truck off the road and down a ravine. The vehicle came to rest hanging off the roadway ready to overturn. He then opened the driver´s door and fell out of the cab and tripped over a stump, injuring himself.
He was arrested then released to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s hospital in San Andreas for treatment.
