Swimmer Regrets Plea

Sponsored by:

A member of the U.S. Synchronized Swimming Team who was sentenced to jail for a fatal car accident says she regrets pleading no contest.

A tearful Tammy Crow told reporters yesterday she doesn´t think she did anything wrong. Crow spoke publicly for the first time about the single car accident that killed her boyfriend and a 12-year-old boy.

Crow is still hoping to compete in the summer Olympics.

She was driving to a skiing trip near Pinecrest last year when she lost control of the sport utility vehicle and slammed into two large trees. Her boyfriend and the 12-year-old in the car died.

Tuolumne County Superior Court Judge Eleanor Provost allowed Crow to postpone serving out her 90-day sentence until after she returns from competing in this summer´s Athens Olympics.
